FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State men's basketball sophomore
Jordan Horn (St. Paul, Minn.) has been granted a waiver by the NCAA and will be eligible to compete immediately for the Bison, head coach
David Richman announced Monday, Oct. 29.
Â
Horn, a transfer from Siena, has three years of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2018-19 season.
Â
"Jordan is a great kid who has already made a positive impact on our program on and off the court, and we are excited that his family will get to see him play as a Bison this season," said NDSU head coach
David Richman.
Â
"This is another exciting step as we continue to add depth, versatility and talent to our roster. But more importantly, this is the right decision for Jordan and his family. I want to thank the NCAA staff as well as our administration, in particular
Colleen Heimstead, for all their help and efforts regarding this waiver for Jordan."
Â
"I want to thank Colleen for all her hard work throughout this process, and thank the NCAA for considering my case," said Horn. "This will definitely have a positive impact on my family, and I know it means a lot to them."
Â
Horn played in 30 games and made 13 starts for Siena as a true freshman last season, averaging 7.9 points per game. He led Siena with 48 three-pointers made on the season, including eight treys in a game at Memphis on Dec. 20.
