Enerson Gets Decathlon Started at Bryan Clay Multis

AZUSA, Calif. – North Dakota State junior Ryan Enerson scored 3,572 points on the first day of the decathlon at the Bryan Clay Invitational for the second-best first-day total of his career.
Enerson tied the second-fastest 100m of his career in 11.51 to open the decathlon, then posted the third-best long jump mark of his career at 20-11.75 (6.39m). He registered the top shot put mark in his section, throwing 43-02.25 (13.16m), and cleared 6-03.50 (1.92m) in the high jump. Enerson capped the day by clocking a personal-best 51.63 in the 400m.
Enerson stands in second place in his section of the decathlon.
Also competing in the Bryan Clay Multis, NDSU senior Matt Neururer clocked the second-fastest 100m of his career in 11.24. Neururer cleared 6-04.75 (1.95m) in the high jump and ran 50.30 in the 400m.
The decathlon will conclude Thursday, while the majority of the Bison will compete at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate in Long Beach, Calif.
