LOUISVILLE, Ky. – North Dakota State University pitcher Jacquelyn Sertic was named to the NFCA All-Midwest Region team, while second baseman Zoe Stavrou was picked to the third team. Sertic is a three-time all-region selection, Stavrou makes her first appearance.
 
NDSU (33-17) is scheduled to play Mississippi State (36-21) at 8 p.m. CT Friday, May 18, in the first game of the NCAA Tucson Regional at Arizona's Hillenbrand Stadium.
 
Sertic, a senior from Sparks, Nev., enters this weekend with a 25-9 record with 12 shutouts and 1.62 earned run average. She has 303 strikeouts and 56 walks in 216.1 innings pitched. Sertic was named the MVP of the Summit League tournament last weekend. She is a two-time Summit League Pitcher of the Year and three-time all-league selection.
 
Stavrou, a junior from Long Beach, Calif., is batting .326 with three home runs and 25 runs batted in. She is one of two NDSU players to start in all 50 games this season. Stavrou has scored 16 runs, whacked 14 doubles and walked 17 times. She was named to the Summit League all-tournament team and is a three-time all-league pick.
