Bison Women’s Track & Field Signs Three More Athletes

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State University women's track & field program has added three more signees to its 2019 recruiting class, head coach Stevie Keller announced Friday.
Bailee Dierks, a hurdler from Hudson, Wis.; Kendra Kelley, a sprinter from Cloquet, Minn.; and KayDee Wescom, a long sprinter from Bismarck, N.D., have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their education at NDSU and compete for the Bison.
Dierks (Hudson HS) has placed in the top four at the Wisconsin Division 1 state meet in both the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles over the past two seasons. She has won three straight Big Rivers Conference titles in the 100m hurdles, running a personal-best 14.64 as a junior last season, and two straight conference titles in the 300m hurdles. Dierks was the state runner-up in the 100m hurdles and took fourth in the 300m hurdles as a sophomore in 2017.
Kelley (Cloquet HS) is the reigning Minnesota Class AA state champion in the 200m dash, as well as taking state runner-up honors in the 100m and eighth place at state in the long jump. She clocked a personal-best 24.60 to win the state title in the 200m, and has also run 12.14 in the 100m. A four-time state placewinner in the 200m and three-time placewinner in the 100m, Kelley is also a two-time All-Area Player of the Year in soccer who scored more than 130 career goals.
Wescom (Bismarck Legacy HS) was the North Dakota Class A state runner-up in the 400m as a junior in 2018, as well as placing sixth at the state meet in the 800m. She posted personal-best times of 58.37 and 2:20.65 at the state meet. As a sophomore, she won a state championship on Legacy's 4x800m relay team, took second in the 4x400m relay, and placed third in the 400m dash.
The Bison women have won all 22 Summit League indoor and outdoor team titles since joining the league in 2008.
