NDSU Women Seventh After Opening Day of Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational

LAKEWOOD, Wash. - The North Dakota State women's golf team sits in seventh after the first two rounds of the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational on Monday.
NDSU shot a 294 in the first round and a 298 in the second round, as the Bison are in seventh with a 16-over par 592. Gonzaga has the tournament lead with a 568, firing a 278 in the second round. NDSU is just five strokes out of second place, currently a tie between Seattle and Grand Canyon. Gonzaga's Quynn Duong has the individual lead with a 138 with back-to-back rounds of 69 on the opening day.
Taylor McCorkle leads the way for the Bison, as she is tied for 16th with a 147. McCorkle had a 74 in the first round and a 73 in the second round. McCorkle had five birdies on the day, including four in the second round. Alexis Thomas is just a stroke behind McCorkle, sitting in a tie for 18th with a 148. Thomas had a 74 in both rounds. Thomas had four birdies in the first round and two in the second round.
Lexi Geolat shot a 76 in the first round and a 73 in the second round, as she is tied for 25th with a 149. Geolat had six birdies on the day, including four in the second round. Vinisha Gunaseelan had a 73 in the opening round and a 78 in the second round, as she is tied for 36th with a 151. Gunaseelan had five birdies on the day, including four in the first round. Sierra Bennion rounded out the NDSU lineup, as she is tied for 66th with a 155. Bennion had a 73 in the opening round and an 82 in the second round. Bennion totaled five birdies in the two rounds, including three in the first.
Playing as an individual, Camryn Roadley is tied for 25th with a 149. Roadley shot a season-low 74 in the first round and a 75 in the second round. Roadley had five birdies in the opening round and a pair in the second round.
The Bison had 26 birdies as a team, the fourth most in the field. Geolat was two-under par on par four holes, the third best total in the field. Thomas ranked second among all players on par five holes, finishing at three under.
The final round begins at 10 a.m. central time on Tuesday at Tacoma Country and Golf Club.
