Bison Women Finish Fall Season at Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational

LAKEWOOD, Wash. - The North Dakota State women's golf team finished the fall season on Tuesday at the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational, finishing eighth as a team.
The Bison shot a 306 in the final round, as the Bison finished the three rounds with an 898. Gonzaga won the team title with an 860 after shooting a 292 in the final round. Gonzaga's Quynn Duong won the individual title with a 209. The Bison had 34 birdies, the fifth most in the field.
Lexi Geolat and Taylor McCorkle tied for 16th with a 221 for the three rounds. Geolat shot a career-low 72 on Tuesday, while McCorkle shot a 74 with four birdies in the final round. Geolat ranked second in the field on par four holes, finishing at four-under par on those holes. Geolat had a pair of birdies in the final round.
Alexis Thomas tied for 38th with a 227 for the tournament after shooting a 79 in the final round. Thomas was three-under par on par five holes, the fourth best score in the field. Vinisha Gunaseelan shot an 81 in the final round, as she tied for 64th with a 232. Gunaseelan had a birdie on the first hole in the final round.
Rounding out the NDSU lineup, Sierra Bennion shot an 89 in the final round, as she finished 93rd with a 244. Bennion had a birdie on the 11th hole. Playing as an individual, Camryn Roadley tied for 38th with a 227 overall. Roadley shot a 78 in the final round. Roadley had a birdie on the ninth hole.
The Bison open the spring season Feb. 22-23 at the Grand Canyon Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz.
