Bison Tied for Lead After Opening Day of Colin Montgomerie Invitational

First/Second Round Results

SPRING, Texas - The North Dakota State men's golf team is tied for first place after the opening day of the Colin Montgomerie Invitational, hosted by Houston Baptist.

The first round was completed, while most teams only made it to the halfway point of the day. Van Holmgren is tied for second after the opening day. Holmgren was even in the first round and is currently three-under through 10 holes in the second round. Andrew Israelson is tied for ninth after shooting one-under in the first round and being even through nine holes of the second round.

Lucas Johnson is tied for 16th after the first day. Johnson was one-under after the first round and is two-over through 10 holes in the second round. Jed Baranczyk is tied for 26th at the conclusion of the first day. He was five-over after the first round, but is one-under through nine holes of the second round. Nate Deziel is tied for 56th after the opening day. Deziel was seven-over after the first round and is one-over through nine holes of the second round.

As a team, the Bison are tied with Florida Gulf Coast after the first day. The Bison were plus-three as a team after the first round, but are three-under as a team during the second round.

The final round is scheduled to get underway at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26.
