Bison Women Set School Record at Red Rocks Invitational

Final Results
CORNVILLE, Ariz. - The North Dakota State women's golf team set a 54-hole school record on Sunday, as the Bison finished in a tie for seventh at the Red Rocks Invitational.
In the final round, the Bison shot a 286, which is the third best 18-hole score in school history After rounds of 285 and 301 on Saturday, the Bison finished with the school record score of 872 for the three rounds. New Mexico State won the team title with an 853.
Playing as an individual, Maddie Herzog shot a 75 on Sunday, as she finished in a tie for fifth with a 211 for the three rounds. Her 211 is the third best 54-hole score in school history. She joins Amy Anderson as the only players in NDSU history with a round of 212 or better, as Anderson had rounds of 209 in 2013 and 210 in 2009.
Emma Groom tied for 21st, as she shot a 70 in the final round to finish with a 217. Groom had a team-best four birdies on the final day. Alexis Thomas tied for 30th with a 219, as she had three birdies on the final day with a 74.
Shooting a 70 on the final day, Taylor McCorkle finished in a tie for 35th with a 220 overall. McCorkle had three birdies in the final round. Sierra Bennion tied for 47th overall with a 223, as she had two birdies on her final round 72. Camryn Roadley rounded out the scoring for the Bison, as she tied for 69th with a 230. Roadley shot a 79 in the final round.
The Bison will head to the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on April 8-9 as the final tune-up before the Summit League Championship.
