Maddie Herzog Named Summit League Golfer of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State freshman Maddie Herzog has been named the Summit League Women's Golfer of the Week.

Herzog had the best tournament of her first collegiate season, tying for fifth at the Red Rocks Invitational to earn the honor. Herzog, who was playing as an individual, broke 70 for the first time in her career during the opening two rounds during the event in Cornville, Ariz. She opened with a 69 (-2), then backed that up with a 67 (-4) in round two. She would go on to finish in a tie for fifth after posting a 211 (-1) for the three-round event becoming just the second Bison in program history to break 212.

This is the second-straight week a Bison has earned the award, as Taylor McCorkle took home the honor last week.
