NDSU Women's Golf Concludes Regular Season at Cowgirl Classic

MARICOPA, Ariz. - The North Dakota State women's golf team wrapped up the regular season on Tuesday at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic at AK-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. The Bison women had their best round of the tournament on Tuesday, as they shot a 306 to finish in 17th.
Emma Groom led the way for the Bison, as she tied for 44th with a 228 after shooting a 74 in the last round. Groom finished with a pair of birdies on the day. Sierra Bennion had her best round of the tournament with a 76 on Tuesday, as she tied for 56th with a 230 for the three rounds. Bennion had two birdies on the day. Taylor McCorkle shot a 79 in the final round, as she tied for 63rd with a 231 for the tournament.
Alexis Thomas finished in a tie for 81st, as she shot an 80 in the final round to give her a 236 for the three rounds. Maddie Herzog rounded out the NDSU lineup, as she finished in a tie for 86th with a 237 after her best round of the tournament on Tuesday with a 77. Herzog finished with a birdie on the day. Playing as an individual, Camryn Roadley shot an 86 in the final round, as she finished 108th with a 252 for the three rounds.
NDSU had a 922 for the three rounds to finish in 17th. UTEP won the invite with an 883, beating Santa Clara by a stroke for the title. New Mexico State's Suthavee Chanachai won the individual title with a 208.
The Bison will return to action April 21-23 at the Summit League Championship in Newton, Kan.
