Matt Johnson has announced the 2019-20 schedule.
The Bison will play in 11 different tournaments, with four coming in the fall and seven in the spring. NDSU will be returning to six locations from last season, while adding five new tournaments to the schedule.
NDSU will open the season in North Dakota on Sept. 9, hosting the NDSU Fall Match Play at Oxbow Country Club in Oxbow. The Bison will also return to the Battle at Old Works in Anaconda, Mont. on Sept. 16-17. Last year, the Bison finished second while turning in two of the top 10 scores in school history. Returner
Taylor McCorkle finished fifth at the event last year. NDSU will close out the fall with the Coeur d'Alene Resort Invitational in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Sept. 23-24 and the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational in Tacoma, Wash. Oct. 14-15.
The Bison will open the spring season at the Grand Canyon Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz. Feb. 22-23. Over spring break, the Bison will play in the Jackrabbit Invitational in Las Vegas, Nev. on March 9-10 and the SUU Thunderbird Invitational March 12-13 in Saint George, Utah. Last year, McCorkle set the NDSU 18 and 36-hole records by winning the Thunderbird Invitational with a 65 and 141. The team also had the third-lowest score in school history at 607.
NDSU will close the regular season with three new tournaments on the schedule. On March 19-21, the Bison will head to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for the Hawkeye-El Tigre Invitational. NDSU will head to the Stampede at the Creek on April 6-7 in Omaha, Neb. before finishing the regular season April 13-14 at the Bobcat Desert Classic in Goodyear, Ariz.
The Summit League Championship is scheduled for April 26-28 at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kan. The Bison finished fifth at the conference meet last season.
