2020 Maverick Invitational Final Results

OMAHA, Neb. - With a 22 stroke lead over Omaha, the North Dakota State women's golf team won the Maverick Invitational on Tuesday. The Bison shot a 938 over the three rounds for the title.

Alexis Thomas led the Bison, as she finished second with a 231. Thomas shot a 77 in the second round and a 78 in the third. She had two birdies in the second round and one in the third. Taylor McCorkle was just behind Thomas, finishing third with a 232. McCorkle had a birdie in the second round and two in the third round.

Lexi Geolat finished in sixth, as she had a 78 in the second round and 77 in the third for a 236 overall. Geolat had three birdies in the second round and two in the third. Maddie Herzog finished seventh overall with a 239, shooting a 78 in the second round and 84 in the third. Herzog had a birdie in the second round. Leah Skaar rounded out the Bison lineup, as she finished in 12th. Skaar had an 86 in the second round and 84 in the third, finishing with a 258 overall. Skaar had a pair of birdies in the final round.

Playing as an individual, Catherine Monty finished in fourth with a 233. She shot a 75 in the second round and a 78 in the third. Monty had a pair of birdies in each of the final two rounds. Holly Murphy finished in eighth with a 245, shooting a 79 in the second round and an 81 in the third round. Murphy had a birdie in the second round.

NDSU shot a 313 in the second round and a 315 in the final round for the 938. Omaha's Mandi Granato took medalist honors with a 228.
