Bison Women Finish Sixth at Jackrabbit Invitational

BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The North Dakota State women's golf team moved up a spot on the final day of the Jackrabbit Invitational, as the Bison finished sixth.
NDSU shot a 311 in the final round, as they finished with a three round score of 943. South Dakota State won the meet with an 896. Boston College's Madeline Jin took top individual honors with a 217 over the three rounds.
Taylor McCorkle led the Bison, as she finished in a tie for 17th with a 234. McCorkle had a birdie on the fourth hole, as she finished with a 78 in the final round. Sierra Bennion tied for 27th with a 238 over the three rounds. Bennion shot a 76 in the third round, her lowest of the tournament. Her third round included a birdie on the third hole and an eagle on the 18th.
Lexi Geolat tied for 37th with a 242 over the three rounds. Geolat shot an 80 in the final round, including a birdie on the seventh. Alexis Thomas rounded out the Bison scoring, shooting a 77 in the final round, her lowest of the tournament. Thomas finished in a tie for 42nd with a 243 over the three rounds, including a pair of birdies in the final round.
Maddie Herzog finished in a tie for 58th, as she shot a 91 in the final round. Herzog had a birdie on the third hole, as she finished the tournament with a 249. Playing as an individual, Camryn Roadley tied for 49th with a 246 over the three rounds. Roadley had three birdies in the final round, as she shot an 82.
The Bison return to action on Thursday, March 12 at the Lady Thunderbird Invitational in St. George, Utah.
