Eleven Former Bison Make NFL Rosters, Practice Squads

FARGO, N.D. - North Dakota State has 11 former football players in the National Football League heading into the opening week of the 2020 season. Five made their clubs' initial 53-man rosters announced Saturday, Sept. 5.
The veteran of the group is seventh-year offensive lineman Billy Turner, who is beginning his second season with the Green Bay Packers. There will be three Bison in Green Bay with rookie offensive lineman Zack Johnson and second-year wide receiver Darrius Shepherd on the Packers' practice squad.
Quarterback Carson Wentz is beginning his fifth season with the Philadelphia Eagles, and fifth-year offensive lineman Joe Haeg signed in March with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after spending his first four years with the Indianapolis Colts.
Linebacker Kyle Emanuel, who played four seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, came back from a one-year retirement to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders. Emanuel will start the season on the Raiders' practice squad.
Linebacker Chris Board is heading into his third season with the Baltimore Ravens, quarterback Easton Stick is with the Chargers for a second season, and running back Bruce Anderson is with the Colts on the injured reserve list.
The Denver Broncos added seventh-round draft pick Derrek Tuszka to the practice squad, and rookie tight end Ben Ellefson earned a practice squad position with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
