NDSU Women's Golf Picked Fourth in Summit League Preseason Poll

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The North Dakota State women's golf team has been picked to finish fourth in the 2021 Summit League Women's Golf Preseason Poll, as released by the league office on Jan. 21.
For the eighth-consecutive season, Denver was selected by The Summit League's eight head coaches to win the #SummitWGF Championship in April. The Pioneers received all seven of the first-place votes they could receive while Oral Roberts followed in second place with 37 points. South Dakota State took third with 36 points and received the remaining first place vote. North Dakota State, who finished fifth at the 2019 Summit League Championships, was fourth with 34 points and followed by South Dakota who took fifth with 25 points.
Omaha was picked to finish sixth, finishing with 19 points while North Dakota (13) and Western Illinois (11) rounded out the poll.
Junior Taylor McCorkle was named to the Summit League Players to Watch list. A three-time WGCA All-American Scholar, McCorkle has a 76.3 career scoring average. McCorkle was selected to The Summit League Women's Golf Championship All-Tournament Team as a freshman, while earning All-Summit League Second Team honors as a sophomore.
The Bison open the spring portion of the schedule March 1 at the Grand Canyon Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz.
