BROOKINGS, S.D. – Bison junior
Jacob Rodin broke the North Dakota State school record in the 600 meters to headline the performances of the NDSU men's track & field team at the Jim Emmerich Alumni Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Rodin, a native of Kenmare, N.D., broke Jonah Warwick's 2018 NDSU record in the 600m, winning at SDSU on Saturday with a time of 1:18.03.
NDSU senior
Alex Talley added a foot to his career-best in the shot put, throwing 65-02.00 (19.86m) to win the meet. He became the third Bison ever to top 65 feet, and now ranks fourth in the NCAA this season.
Cody Roder won the 400m dash, running 48.22 to tie his indoor personal-best that ranks eighth in NDSU history.
Senior
Alex Bartholomay won the 3000m in 8:19.64 – the second-fastest time of his career.
Josh Samyn took first in the 800m, running 1:53.42 for the third-fastest time of his career.
Keiser Freetly was the 800m runner-up in 1:54.98.
Sophomore
Trent Davis clocked a season-best 8.23 seconds to win the 60m hurdles.
Bison senior
Trevor Otterdahl finished second in both the shot put and weight throw.
Noah Shafer took runner-up honors in the pole vault, clearing 15-11.00 (4.85m).
