PEORIA, Ill. – Sophomore
Jake Arason led the North Dakota State men's cross country team at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday afternoon, placing 58th overall.
It was the first time in Arason's career that he was NDSU's top finisher in a meet. The Grand Forks, N.D., native completed the eight-kilometer course in a personal-best time of 25:07.0.
Bison sophomore
Payton Smith finished 97th in a personal-best 25:24.9, and freshman
Tyson Mahar was 101st in 25:25.7.
Isaac Huber (115th in 25:30.5) and
Mason Kindel (129th in 25:35.3) rounded out NDSU's team scoring.
The Bison men took 19th in the team standings. The meet featured 31 Division I schools.
NDSU will race next at the Summit League Championships on Saturday, Oct. 30, in Tulsa, Okla.
