Bison Volleyball Set for Showdown with North Dakota

THIS WEEKEND
The North Dakota State volleyball team (8-12, 2-6 Summit) returns to Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse on Saturday for an encounter with North Dakota (1-19, 0-8 Summit). First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
TICKETS
General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth ages 3-17, and reserved tickets are $10-12 . Match day tickets are sold at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse and are also available at GoBison.com/tickets. Doors open one (1) hour prior to the match. Free parking is available in Visitors Lot E.

LOOKING BACK
NDSU enters the weekend after falling short at South Dakota State, 3-1, on Tuesday night. Ali Hinze registered her 10th double-double of the season with a match-high 16 digs and 13 kills. Syra Tanchin also connected on a match-best 18 kills with a .308 hitting percentage.
90 MATCHES AND COUNTING
Kaylee Hanger continues to leave her mark in Bison history. After becoming the 26th player in program history to reach 1,000 career digs, she is now closing in on her 100th career match. She's appeared in 96 career matches over her four year career.
SERVIN' UP SOME ACES
NDSU has connected on 129 service aces this season, which leads the Summit League and ranks 19th in the nation. Ava Schmoll ranks eighth in the Summit League in aces and has delivered a team-high 22.
WHAT CAN'T HINZE DO?
Ali Hinze has already connected on a career-high and team-best 254 kills this season. She has also made an impact on the defensive end of the floor totaling 185 digs this season, which ranks second on the team. Hinze has registered a double-double in each of her last two matches and a team-high 10 total times this season.
OFFENSIVE POWER
The Bison have tallied 927 total kills this season, which ranks second in the Summit League and 33rd in the nation. The Bison connected on a season-high 70 kills in the win over Western Illinois.
DIRECTING TRAFFIC
The Bison are positioned second in the Summit League in total assists this season with 847 and are averaging 11.43 per set. Raegen Reilly paces NDSU passing out a team-best 452 assists, while Kelley Johnson has added in 288.
DENIED AT THE NET
Michelle Glover is slotted second in the Summit League and 40th in the nation in total blocks with 77.0. She's contributed three or more blocks in each of her last five matches, including matching a season-best eight blocks at South Dakota State.
BATTLING ON DEFENSE
The Bison have battled on the defensive side of the court this season logging 11 matches with 50 or more digs, including a season-high 89 in the win over Western Illinois. NDSU ranks third in the Summit League in digs with 1,092. Kaylee Hanger is positioned sixth in the Summit League with a team-high 228 digs.
THE SERIES VS. NORTH DAKOTA
This will be the 104th all-time meeting in between NDSU and UND with the Bison leading the series, 84-19. NDSU has won the last six meetings and in the most recent encounter last season, the Bison rolled past the Fighting Hawks, 3-0, on the road. Ali Hinze contributed a double-double with 16 digs and 12 kills, while Taylor Quan and Kaylee Hanger both added in 13 digs each.
