Bison Men Close Cross Country Season at NCAA Midwest Regional

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The North Dakota State men's cross country team finished 22nd in the team standings at the NCAA Midwest Regional held Friday at Ashton Cross Country Course.
Freshman Mason Kindel led the Bison in his first collegiate race at the 10-kilometer distance, taking 102nd place overall in a time of 32:33.0. NDSU sophomore Payton Smith was the No. 2 finisher for the Bison, running 32:49.7 for 116th place. Sophomore Jake Arason was 121st in 32:55.0.
Isaac Huber (33:03.4) took 130th, and Josh Samyn (33:32.0) finished 158th to round out the team scoring for NDSU.
Oklahoma State won the men's team title with 43 points, and Iowa State's Wesley Kiptoo claimed the individual crown.
