JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. – The North Dakota State's men golf team finished tied for 13
th at The Joust at Goose Creek Golf Club, hosted by Cal Baptist.
NDSU shot a 288 in the final round, the best round of the season for the Bison, finishing with a three-round total of 910. Loyola Marymount swept the team and individual titles, shooting an 852, accompanied by Gavin Cohen finishing first with a 209.
Freshman
Jack Johnson led the Bison, shooting a personal best 67 in the final round. He finished tied for 11
th with a 219. Junior
Lucas Johnson, freshman
Nate Adams and sophomore
Nate Deziel all tied for 58
th with a 231 over the three rounds. Johnson recorded five birdies in the final round, as he shot a 74. Adams recorded two birdies in the final round and shot a 73. Deziel had five birdies to complete his third round of 76.
Freshman
Brock Winter rounded out the scoring for the Bison, shooting a 240. Winter shot a 74 in the final round that included four birdies. Freshman
Gavin Cronkhite, competing as an individual, finished the tournament tied for 45
th with a 228. Cronkite shot a 78 in the final round. Sophomore
Jed Baranczyk also competed as an individual, finishing tied for 66
th with a 233. Baranczyk recorded a pair of birdies in the final round, shooting a 75.
The Bison return to action in Phoenix, Ariz. at the Grand Canyon Invitational on March 15-16.
