The North Dakota State University women's and men's track & field teams will open the 2021 outdoor season at Wichita State's Shocker Spring Invitational this Friday, March 26, and Saturday, March 27.
Friday's action is scheduled to begin with the hammer throw at 4 p.m., with the javelin to follow. Distance events will also be held Friday night on the track. On Saturday, field events start at 11 a.m. and running events begin at 12:30 p.m.
Both the Bison men and women were voted as the preseason favorites to win the Summit League outdoor team championships this season, with the league office releasing polls late last week. South Dakota State was picked to finish second on the men's side, and South Dakota was voted No. 2 on the women's side.
NDSU has won 12 straight women's outdoor titles and 10 consecutive men's outdoor championships in The Summit League.
