NEWTON, Kan. – The North Dakota State women's golf team finished sixth at the Summit League Championship at Sand Creek Station Golf Course Monday.

NDSU shot a 323 in the final round, finishing with a three-round total of 983. Denver won the team title with a 921 and South Dakota State's Teresa Toscano won the individual title with a 224, as each earned automatic berths to the NCAA National Championships.

Junior
Taylor McCorkle finished tied for 15
th with a 244. McCorkle shot an 81 in the final round and finished the tournament with four birdies. Sophomore
Maddie Herzog shot a 77 in the final round, as she finished tied for 19
th with a 246. Herzog led the Bison with seven birdies in the tournament, including three in the final round. Senior
Alexis Thomas finished in a tie for 21
st after shooting an 82 in the final round, bringing her three-round total to 247. Thomas had a birdie in the final round. With the championships the final event of her career, Thomas finished with a stroke average of 78.44 for her career, the sixth-lowest in program history.

Lexi Geolat finished in a tie for 34
th with a 257. Geolat shot a 91 in the final round. Freshman
Catherine Monty rounded out the Bison lineup, as she finished in 36
th with a 264. Monty shot an 83 in the final round and recorded a birdie.
