NDSU Men Third After Second Round of Summit League Championship

NEWTON, Kan. – The North Dakota State men's golf team sits in third place after the second round of play at the Summit League Championship Sunday.
NDSU shot a 290, bringing the two-round total to 584. The Bison are two strokes behind Oral Roberts. Denver has the team lead with a 573 and Oral Roberts' Jackson Howes has the individual lead with a 137.
Freshman Nate Adams leads the Bison, as he is tied for fifth with a 145. Adams shot an 73 in the second round, recording three birdies. Sophomore Nate Deziel, who shot a 73 in the second round, is tied for 11th with a 147. Deziel recorded two birdies on the back nine.
Freshman Brock Winter shot a 77 in the second round, as he is tied for 15th with a 148. Winter recorded three birdies in the second round. Junior Lucas Johnson shot a career-low 67 in the second round, recording six birdies. Johnson is tied for 21st with a 150 after recording the lowest round of any player in the field on Sunday. Rounding out the scoring for the Bison is freshman Jack Johnson, as he is in 33rd with a 155. Johnson shot a 78 in the second round, recording a birdie on the second hole.
The third, and final round, is scheduled to begin at 9:40 a.m. on Monday at Sand Creek Station Golf Course.
