NDSU Women’s Golf Tied for Eighth Place at Rainbow Wahine Invite

KAPOLEI, Hawaii – The North Dakota State women's golf team is tied for eighth place after the opening round of play at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational at Kapolei Golf Course on Monday afternoon.
The Bison carded a first-round score of 306 and sit tied for eighth place in the 13-team tournament. Gonzaga (282) and Colorado State (282) are both tied for first place at -6, while Hawaii (292) is 10 strokes back in third place.
Maddie Herzog (74) paced the Bison with a season-low 74 in the first round and is tied for 15th place. She notched 11 pars and three birdies on the par 72 course. Jo Baranczyk (76) is tied for 28th place, while Madi Hicks (77) is tied for 34th place. Leah Skaar (79) is positioned tied for 53rd place and Elise Hoven (80) is tied for 58th place.
Cora Larson (74), who connected on a team-best four birdies, is tied for 15th place. Ava Wallerich (78) is tied for 44th place and Catherine Monty (79) is tied for 53rd place. All three played as individuals.
The average score over the opening round of play was 77.03.
NDSU will continue play at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational tomorrow.
