FARGO, N.D. - The North Dakota State football team had eight student-athletes named to the 2022 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Football Team on Tuesday, Nov. 22.

The Bison honorees are fullback Logan Hofstedt, safety Sam Jung, linebackers James Kaczor, Luke Weerts and Julian Wlodarczyk, right guard Jake Kubas, center Brandon Westberg and defensive tackle Will Mostaert.

The Academic All-District® team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. In addition to their athletic accomplishments, nominees must carry a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and have sophomore athletic and academic standing.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late December.

No. 3 seed North Dakota State (9-2) is scheduled to host either Southeast Missouri State (9-2) or Montana (7-4) in the second round of the NCAA Division I Football Championship next Saturday, Dec. 3.
