FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team opened the 2023 indoor season with a number of strong performances at the Dakota Alumni Classic on Friday.

Terezia Bolibruch clocked a career-best time of 8.52 to win the 60m hurdles, tying for No. 3 all-time at NDSU in the event. In her first collegiate race, Bison freshman
Sydney Arndt clocked 8.67 in the 60m hurdles – ranking eighth-fastest in school history.

Grace Emineth won the long jump with an indoor personal-best mark of 19-10.25 (6.05m), tying her for fifth on the NDSU all-time indoor list.

Senior
Alissa Melvin opened the season with a win in the triple jump, leaping 40-03.25 (12.27m) – a new indoor PR that ranks her eighth in NDSU history.

Sprinter
Kendra Kelley opened with a personal-best 7.65 in the 60m dash, ranking seventh-fastest in Bison history. Kelley also came back to win the 200m dash in 24.45 later in the meet.

Bison freshman
Jasmine Williams (West Fargo HS) won the 60m dash, running 7.74 in the prelims and 7.81 in the final. Williams also took second in the 200m dash, running 24.82.

The Bison women swept the top three places in the 400m dash. Sophomore
Kaci Cooper won in 57.50,
Allie Niska was second in 57.85, and freshman
Soraya Espino took third in 58.46.

NDSU's
Merrideth Spiers won the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 61-01.25 (18.62m).

Nell Graham posted a personal-best score of 3,566 points in the pentathlon, taking second place in the meet and ranking 10th-best in NDSU history.

Daejha Moss cleared 5-09.25 (1.76m) to win the high jump. Moss also registered a long jump personal-best of 19-06.75 (5.96m) for second place in the meet.
Christie Collins had a personal-best leap of 19-02.00 (5.84m) for third.

Julia Gherardi cleared 11-05.75 (3.50m) in the pole vault for her first collegiate meet, taking second place.
