Women's Golf

NDSU Women’s Golf Posts 10th Place Finish at Red Rocks Invitational

SEDONA, Ariz. – The North Dakota State women's golf team finished in 10th place at the Red Rocks Invitational at Oakcreek Country Club on Sunday afternoon.

The Bison carded rounds of 295, 300 and 310 for a three-round total of 905 to finish in 10th place in the 19-team tournament.  Grand Canyon took the top spot with a total of 865, while Northern Arizona came in second with a score of 871. Weber State closed out the top three with a score of 877.

Maddie Herzog led the way for NDSU finishing tied for 22nd place after assembling rounds of 72, 72 and 78 for a season-low three round total of 222. Elise Hoven (71-75-80--226) and Lexi Geolat (77-73-76--226) finished tied for 32nd place. Jo Baranczyk (75-80-79--234) came in tied for 63rd place, while Leah Skaar (80-82-77--239) rounded out the group tied for 83rd place.

Catherine Monty (78-80-79--237) competed as an individual and finished tied for 74th place. Holly Murphy (77-79-89--245) also competed as an individual and tied a career-low 245 to finish tied for 96th place.

The Bison will be back in action at the GolfWeek/Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawley's Island, S.C. on Monday, March 28.
