Anderson Finishes 3rd in Discus at NC State, Tschida Leads Heptathlon at Black Hills State

RALEIGH, N.C. – North Dakota State senior thrower Amanda Anderson placed third in the discus at the Raleigh Relays on Friday afternoon, highlighting the performances of the Bison women's track & field team.
Anderson threw 172-6 (52.58m) for her season opener in the discus, taking third in the meet.
At the Yellow Jacket Spring Open in Spearfish, S.D., Katelyn Tschida leads the heptathlon after Day 1, scoring 2,547 points through four events. She capped the day with a 200m dash personal-best of 25.99.
NDSU's Cora Andersen stands in second place for the heptathlon with 2,272 points, and Sofia Naranjo Mata is in third with 2,113.
The Bison will conclude competition Saturday at both meets.
