INDIANAPOLIS – North Dakota State senior heavyweight
Brandon Metz was named one of the 44 at-large selections to the 2022 NCAA Wrestling Championships by the NCAA selection committee, announced the NCAA on Tuesday.
Metz (16-9) along with 43 other at-large selections, join the 286 student-athletes, including four Bison, that qualified through conference tournament finishes over the weekend.

Owen Pentz (17-9) earned qualification by their placing finishes at the Big 12 Championships.
Franek and Metz will make their third-consecutive trips to the NCAA Championships, while Weber and Pentz will each make their second-straight trip. Droegemueller, who qualified in 2020, will make his second trip overall after missing out last season.
The NCAA will now finalize the seedings and the bracket for the 10 weight classes. The official championship bracket will be revealed tomorrow, March 9, during the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships Selection Show on NCAA.com at 5 p.m. CT.
