NDSU Women’s Golf Finishes in Seventh Place at ORU Invite

BROKEN ARROW, Okla.– The North Dakota State women's golf team finished in seventh place at the ORU Spring Invitational at Indian Springs Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon.

The Bison carded rounds of 304, 306 and 317 for a three-round total of 927 to finish in seventh place in the 10-team tournament. Arkansas State took the top spot with a score of 874, while Oral Roberts came in second with a score of 883. Missouri State moved up four spots on the leaderboard to finish in third place with a score of 912.

Leah Skaar paced the Bison posting her second straight top 10 finish coming in tied for ninth place. Gold Canyon, Ariz., native assembled rounds of 73, 76 and 76 for a three-round total of 225. Jo Baranczyk (73-80-83--236) came in tied for 38th place, while Lexi Geolat (77-78-82--237), Elise Hoven (81-80-76--237) and Maddie Herzog (82-72-83--237) all finished tied for 40th place.

Catherine Monty (82-81-73--236) competed as an individual and finished tied for 38th place. Ava Wallerich (89-79-78--246) also competed as an individual coming in tied for 57th place.

The average score through three rounds of play on the par 72 course was 78.08.

NDSU will be back in action at the Summit League Championship on April 24-26 at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kan.
