NEWTON, Kan. – The North Dakota State women's golf team is positioned in eighth place after round one at the Summit League Championship at Sand Creek Station Golf Course.
NDSU totaled a first-round score of 316 and is slotted in eighth place. Denver is in the top spot after carding a 292 and has three players inside the top 10. Oral Roberts is seven strokes back in second place with a score of 299, while South Dakota State is in third after posting a first-round score of 301.
Jo Baranczyk is tied for eighth place after carding a 75 with three birdies in round one.
Lexi Geolat is positioned tied for 29th with a score of 79 and wrapped her round with back-to-back birdies.
Leah Skaar is in 35th place with a score of 80, while
Catherine Monty fired an 82 and is tied for 36th place.
Elise Hoven rounds out the group tied for 42nd place with a score of 84.
The average score in round one was 77.83 on the par 72 course.
NDSU will continue play at the Summit League Championship tomorrow at Sand Creek Station Golf Course.
