Anderson Leads Bison Distance Standouts on Drake Relays Opening Night

DES MOINES, Iowa – Senior Kelby Anderson led a number of strong performances by the North Dakota State women's distance runners on Thursday night at the Drake Relays.
Anderson ran a career-best 4:23.31 to win the unseeded 1500m at Drake. She cut nearly three seconds off her previous best in the event, and ranks sixth-fastest in NDSU history.
Freshman Grace Link ran a 1500m personal-best of 4:29.07, putting her at No. 10 on the NDSU all-time list.
Bison senior Jen Dufner ran 36:56.94 in the 10,000m for 14th place – the second-fastest time of her career. Freshman Onnica Stansbury clocked 10:59.29 in the 3000m steeplechase for her second-best time this season.
