
Phillips Claims Drake Relays Hammer Throw Title

DES MOINES, Iowa – North Dakota State senior Amy Phillips captured the Drake Relays title in the hammer throw to headline the final day of competition for the Bison women's track & field team in Des Moines.
Phillips won the hammer in dramatic fashion, vaulting from fifth place to first on her final attempt with a throw of 216-7 (66.01m). She continues to be ranked among the top 10 in the NCAA this season.
Nell Graham, Angel Pratt, Grace Brenner and Kaci Cooper finished sixth in the invitational 4x400m relay at Drake, clocking 3:48.76.
Christiana Collins, Pratt, Graham and Grace Link took 10th place in the sprint medley relay in 4:03.69.
