Bison Place 47 Student-Athletes on MVFC Honor Roll

ST. LOUIS - North Dakota State placed 47 student-athletes on the Missouri Valley Football Conference Honor Roll announced Wednesday, April 6.

NDSU tight end Austin Avery and defensive linemen Costner Ching, Logan McCormick and Brayden Thomas earned the league's highest academic achievement by capturing the MVFC Presidents Council Academic Award, which requires a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, two years of participation in athletics, and graduation by the end of summer 2022.

Those four student-athletes were among the 32 Bison who earned the MVFC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award, which requires a minimum GPA of 3.2 for the previous two semesters (freshmen are not eligible).

To qualify for the MVFC Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have recorded a 3.0 GPA for a specified term (fall 2021), must have been a member of the football team, and must have a minimum of 12 hours of enrollment during the fall.
