ST. LOUIS - North Dakota State placekicker
Griffin Crosa was named Missouri Valley Football Conference Special Teams Player of the Week by the league office Sunday, Sept. 25.
Crosa, a junior from Dublin, Ohio, kicked two field goals and four extra points in North Dakota State's 34-17 win at South Dakota. His make from 26 yards tied the game in the second quarter and his second attempt from 25 yards gave NDSU its first two-possession lead with 8:27 left in the game.
The first two field goals of the season for North Dakota State were also the first for Crosa since the 2020-21 spring season after redshirting last year. He has made 43 consecutive PAT kicks dating back to 2019.
It is the second career player of the week honor for Crosa.
North Dakota State (3-1) is scheduled to host Youngstown State at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, in the annual homecoming game at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome.
