NDSU Alum Erin Teschuk to Represent Canada at World Cross Country Championships

Former North Dakota State NCAA All-American distance runner Erin Teschuk has been selected to represent Canada at the World Athletics Cross Country Championships later this month.
The meet will be held in Bathurst, Australia, on Feb. 18. Teschuk, a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, was tabbed for the mixed relay for Team Canada.
Teschuk previously represented Canada at the 2015 World Track & Field Championships in Beijing and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, running the 3000m steeplechase.
Now competing professionally for New Balance, Teschuk clocked a lifetime-best 4:31.21 in the indoor mile in New York this past weekend. She ran a personal-best 4:11.21 in the 1500m last spring.
Teschuk was a seven-time NCAA All-American in the distance events while at North Dakota State from 2012-16, and claimed two Canadian national titles in the steeplechase. She holds eight NDSU school records.
