Birch, Renschler Wrap Up Competition for NDSU Women at NCAA West First Rounds

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team concluded competition at the NCAA West First Rounds on Saturday.
Bison junior Arienne Birch cleared a season-best 5-11.25 (1.81m) in the high jump to place 18th.
Sophomore sprinter Paige Renschler placed 22nd in the 200m dash quarterfinals, clocking 23.40. She also finished 23rd in the quarterfinals of the 100m dash in 11.39.
The top 12 finishers in each event advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore.
Renschler broke the NDSU school records and swept the Summit League titles in the 100m and 200m this season. Birch is the school record holder and a six-time Summit League champion in the high jump.
