Renschler Advances to National Quarterfinals in 100m, 200m

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – North Dakota State sophomore sprinter Paige Renschler advanced to the national quarterfinals in the 100m and 200m on Thursday evening, headlining the performances of the Bison women's track & field team at the NCAA West First Rounds hosted by Arkansas.
Renschler (Fargo, N.D.) opened her night by clocking 11.50 in the 100m dash to earn an automatic qualifying spot to Saturday's quarterfinals. She came back later in the evening to run 23.38 in the 200m, claiming a time qualifier into the top 24.
Renschler will run the 100m quarterfinals at 6:35 p.m. CT on Saturday, followed by the 200m at 7:50 p.m.
NDSU senior Alex Seagris finished 26th in the javelin, throwing 152-7 (46.50m). She improved 15 places from her No. 41 pre-meet ranking.
Junior Anika Larson clocked 23.85 in the 200m dash to place 38th.
Sydney Arndt placed 45th in the NCAA West 100m hurdles with a time of 14.01.
Adison Kapitzke took 46th in the hammer throw and 48th in the shot put.
The NCAA West First Rounds will continue with men's competition on Friday, with NDSU represented by Ethan Moe in the 1500m, Brady Goss in the 3000m steeplechase, and Adam Dugger and Reece Grosserode in the triple jump.
