ST. GEORGE, UTAH – The North Dakota State women's golf team is slotted in fifth place after two rounds of play at the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational at Sunbrook Golf Course on Friday afternoon.

NDSU has assembled rounds of 294 and 304 for a two-round total of 598 and is positioned in fifth place in the 16-team tournament. Wyoming (290-302--592) leads by one stroke, while California Baptist (296-297--593) climbed up two spots and is in second place. Boise State (293-303--596) and CSU-Bakersfield (302-294--596) are tied for third place.

Jo Baranczyk (74-73--147) went +1 in the second round with three birdies to move up seven spots on the leaderboard and is tied for eighth place. Elise Hoven (73-76--149) is tied for 15th place and Leah Skaar (73-77--150) is also in the top 25 tied for 21st place. Madi Hicks (74-78--152) is tied for 29th place and Catherine Monty (83-80--163) closes out the group tied for 77th place.

Maddie Herzog (80-77--157) is tied for 55th place, Cora Larson (81-77--158) is tied for 59th place and Ava Wallerich (82-82--164) is tied for 80th place. All three participated as individuals.

The average score through two rounds of play was 78.03.

NDSU will wrap up play at the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational tomorrow.
