NDSU Women’s Golf Tied for Eighth Place at GolfWeek/AGT Intercollegiate

PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – The North Dakota State women's golf team is tied for eighth place after round one at the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club on Monday afternoon.
The Bison carded an opening round total of 302 and are in a five-way tie for eighth place with Akron, Florida Gulf Coast, Northern Colorado, and Morehead State. James Madison holds a five-stroke lead in first place with a score of 285 in the 17-team tournament.
Madi Hicks paces the Bison tied for 12th place after carding a 72. She shot even on 15-of-18 holes to finish +1 on the par 71 course. Leah Skaar sits tied for 19th place after posting a 73. She tallied four birdies to go +2.
Catherine Monty is tied for 40th place with a score of 76. Elise Hoven and Jo Baranczyk close out the group tied for 70th place with a score of 81.
The average score of the opening round was 76.55.
