Bison Wrap Up Weekend with Strong 4x400 at Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. – The North Dakota State men's track & field team wrapped up competition at three different meets on Saturday, posting a number of impressive performances.

At the Stanford Invitational in California, NDSU's Josh Knutson, Cullen Curl, Jacob Rodin and Jacob Levin ran 3:09.79 in the 4x400m relay to rank ninth on the NDSU all-time list.

Rodin clocked 1:48.77 in the 800m at Stanford, taking second place in his section. Levin placed sixth in the 200m dash, running 21.37.

Senior thrower Tristan Bush recorded a career-best mark of 195-7 (59.61m) in the hammer throw at Stanford. NDSU freshman Jarod White cleared 16-06.75 (5.05m) in the pole vault for sixth place in the meet.

Senior Keiser Freetly posted a season-best 1:52.21 in the 800m.

At the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Texas State in San Marcos, Texas, the Bison men finished 1-2-4 in the shot put with Trevor Otterdahl winning with a throw of 59-11.25 (18.27m). Cam Landis registered a personal-best throw of 59-07.25 (18.17m) for second place, and Clayton Hannula was fourth at 59-05.75 (18.13m).

Otterdahl was also the top collegian in the hammer throw at Texas State, throwing 227-1 (69.22m). Levi Rockey threw a career-best 198-11 (60.63m) in the hammer.

At the Mike Fanelli Track Classic in San Francisco, Bison freshman Blake Nyenati ran a personal-best 14.29 in the 110m hurdles to stand at No. 9 on the NDSU all-time list.

NDSU's Drake Daniels took second in the 400m hurdles, running 55.23. Dante White was the runner-up in the 100m dash at San Francisco State, clocking 10.71.
