Bison Track & Field Returns to Action at South Dakota this Friday & Saturday

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State University women's and men's track & field teams will compete at the USD Early Bird hosted by the University of South Dakota in Vermillion this Friday and Saturday.

Action is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.

NDSU has two athletes ranked among the top 10 in the nation this outdoor season, with senior Trevor Otterdahl at No. 7 in the hammer throw and senior Jacob Rodin at No. 10 in the 800m. Otterdahl also ranks 16th nationally in the shot put.

The Bison men have two javelin throwers ranked in the NCAA's top 20 this season – Benji Phillips at 14th, and Matt Kraft at 20th.

Freshman Alex Seagris is the top-ranked Bison woman so far this outdoor season, standing 29th in the nation in the javelin.
