NDSU Women’s Golf Tied for Fourth Place at the Stampede at the Creek

OMAHA, Neb. – The North Dakota State women's golf team is tied for fourth place after the first round of play at the Stampede at the Creek on Monday afternoon at Indian Creek Golf Course. Play was halted in the second round due to darkness and will finish tomorrow morning.
Catherine Monty paced the Bison in the opening round carding a 74 and is tied for ninth place. Maddie Herzog notched a 75 and is tied for 11th place, while Madi Hicks is also inside the top 15 tied for 13th place with a score of 76.
Elise Hoven (77) sits tied for 25th place and Jo Baranczyk (78) is tied for 32nd place. Leah Skaar closes out the group tied for 44th place after posting an 80 in the opening round.
Cora Larson (77) and Ava Wallerich (77) are both tied for 25th place and competed as individuals.
As a team, NDSU is tied with St. Thomas for fourth place with a score of 302 in the nine-team tournament. Creighton (293) is in the top spot and South Dakota (298) sits five strokes back in second place. Green Bay (300) closes out the top three in third place.
The average score through the first round of play was 77.69.
NDSU will wrap up play at the Stampede at the Creek tomorrow.
