NDSU Women’s Golf Posts Third Place Finish at the Summit League Championship

LINCOLN, Neb. – The North Dakota State women's golf team earned its highest finish at the Summit League Championship since 2018 coming in third place on Tuesday afternoon at Wilderness Ridge Golf Course.

The Bison put together rounds of 293, 288 and 291 for a three-round total of 872 to finish in third place in the nine-team tournament. The 54-hole total of 872 ranks tied for the lowest total in NDSU history. Denver (286-292-274--852) finished on top the leaderboard and posted a -10 on the final day, while South Dakota (293-289-286--868) recorded a second-place finish.

Catherine Monty (76-67-74--217) fired a career-low 54-hole total of 217 to finish tied for fifth place. The Stillwater, Minn., native was even on 10 holes with three birdies in the final round to earn her third top five finish this season.

Elise Hoven (77-73-69--219) notched a career-low 54-hole score of 219 to finish tied for ninth place. She carded a career-low 69 in the final round to move eight spots up the leaderboard after going even on 14 holes with three birdies

Madi Hicks (72-73-74--219) also finished tied for ninth place with a 54-hole total of 219. The Victoria, Minn., native closed the season logging three straight top 10 finishes. Leah Skaar (74-77-74--225) and Jo Baranczyk (71-75-79--225) both finished tied for 20th place round out the group.

The average score over three rounds of play was 75.38.
