The North Dakota State University men's track & field team will attempt to win its 13th consecutive conference outdoor team title when it hosts the Summit League Outdoor Championships in Fargo at the Terrence Dahl and Donna Beres Track Complex on May 11-13.
Since joining The Summit League prior to the 2008 season, NDSU has won 13 of a possible 14 team championships in men's outdoor track & field. The Bison won the crown in their first shot in 2008, and then again each year from 2010-22 (excluding the canceled meet in 2020).
The Bison men will enter the meet with league leaders in eight events, spearheaded by Trevor Otterdahl, who tops the performance list in the hammer throw, shot put and discus. Jacob Levin is ranked first in the league in the 200m dash and 400m dash.
NDSU also returns three individuals looking to claim their third consecutive Summit League title in an event. Josh Samyn (1500m), Brandon Lewis (long jump), and Benji Phillips (javelin) all won their respective events in 2021 and 2022.
