PROVO, Utah – The North Dakota State women's golf team sits in ninth place following the second round of play at the Timpanogos Collegiate Invitational at Timpanogos Golf Club on Monday afternoon.
The Bison have put together rounds of 295 and 285 for a two-round total of 580 and are in ninth place in the 19-team tournament. The second-round score of 285 is tied for the second-lowest in program history and one stroke behind the program record of 284, which was set on Sept. 11, 2017 at the Battle at Old Works.
Grand Canyon (289-270—559) is in first place and is -17 through the first two rounds of play. Fresno State (279-282—561) dropped back one place and sits in second place, while Santa Clara (288-276—564) is in third place.
Madi Hicks (74-69—141) moved up 31 spots and is tied for 17th place. She tied a single-round career-low of 69 (-3) in round two after connecting on five birdies.
Cora Larson (74-73—147) is tied for 40th place, while
Leah Skaar (77-71—148) sits tied for 47th place.
Norah Roberts (70-79—149) is one stroke back and is tied for 51st place, while
Elise Hoven (80-72—152) closes out the group in 73rd place.
Jo Baranczyk (78-82—160) is competing as an individual and is in 97th place.
NDSU will conclude play at the Timpanogos Collegiate Invitational tomorrow.
