Kelley, Graham Claim More School Records Saturday at SDSU

BROOKINGS, S.D. – One week after Nell Graham and Kendra Kelley broke North Dakota State school records in the 600m run and the 60m dash, respectively, they duplicated the feat in different events Saturday at the Jim Emmerich Invitational.
Graham shattered the school record in the indoor 400m dash, winning in 53.09 to break Morgan Milbrath's NDSU record of 53.58 from 2017.
Kelley clocked 23.75 to win the 200m dash, improving her own NDSU indoor record from last season by 0.13 seconds.
Graham's record-breaking run led a Bison sweep of the top four places in the 400m, with all four registering career-best performances. Bailee Dierks was second in 56.75, Allie Niska took third in 56.81, and Kaci Cooper claimed fourth in 56.97.
The Bison women won the 4x400m relay with Kelley, Niska, Cooper and Graham in 3:48.22.
Salmata Korgho ran a personal-best 8.41 to win the 60m hurdles, leading a Bison sweep of the top three places. Sydney Arndt took second in 8.46, and Dierks was third in 8.65.
Sophomore Julia Gherardi won the pole vault, clearing an indoor personal-best 12-09.50 (3.90m). She moved up to seventh on the NDSU all-time indoor list.
Jasmine Williams ran a personal-best 24.59 to place second in the 200m. She ranks ninth-fastest in NDSU indoor history.
Grace Emineth won the triple jump with a mark of 39-10.00 (12.14m). Freshman Joy Nnantah was second at 38-07.50 (11.77m), and Ella Gardner was third at 37-07.75 (11.47m). Emineth also took second in the long jump with a mark of 18-11.25 (5.77m).
Brita Birkeland was the 800m runner-up in a career-best 2:15.94. Ilise Jennings was the runner-up in the 60m dash, clocking 7.56 in the final.
Merrideth Spiers placed third in the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 63-07.00 (19.38m).
