BANDON, Ore. - North Dakota State men's golf's
Nate Adams is tied for the lead after 10 holes of the Bandon Dunes Championship, as play was suspended due to weather at the Pacific Dunes course. The Bison sit in a tie with Oregon for fifth overall (+6) in the 16-team field.
Adams started with two birdies and added then added two more after a bogey on his third hole, moving to -3 through five. The senior then settled in with five straight pars as weather worsened before play was halted.
Jack Johnson sits in a tie for eighth overall, also making it through 10 holes before play was suspended. Johnson has a pair of birdies and bogeys along with six pars.
Ian Simonich is tied for 41st at +3, while
Jake Skarperud and
Gavin Cronkhite are tied for 82nd at +6.
Josh Galvin, playing as an individual, sits at +9.
The tournament was originally scheduled for 54 holes prior to Sunday's opening round being canceled due to weather. Play is scheduled to resume Tuesday morning with the completion of the first round, before finishing the shortened 36-hole event.
