Jarod White Improves NDSU Outdoor Pole Vault Record

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Sophomore Jarod White improved his North Dakota State outdoor school record in the pole vault once again, highlighting the performances of the Bison men's track & field team on their final day of competition in southern California.
White cleared 17-7 (5.36m) at the Beach Invitational to add one and a half inches to the school record he set two weeks ago in Texas. He now stands at No. 18 on the NCAA performance list this season.
Bison senior Cam Landis threw a career-best 172-9 (52.66m) in the discus at the Beach Invitational, ranking ninth in NDSU history.
Redshirt freshman Carter Elde recorded another personal-best in the 400m hurdles, clocking 53.33 at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif.
Hunter Merkley posted three marks of 23-plus feet in the long jump at the Beach Invitational, with a top jump of 23-01.75 (7.05m). Braden Brown cleared 6-7 (2.01m) in the high jump.
