SYLVANIA, Ohio – North Dakota State men's golf sits in fifth place after the first two rounds of the Highland Meadows Intercollegiate hosted at Highland Meadows Golf Club. The Bison shot +1 in the first round and +4 in round two.
Nate Adams led the way for the Bison, shooting a -3 round of 68 in the opening round, followed up by a 73 in the second round. Adams sits in a tie for 14
th overall at -1 headed into the final round. Adams had four birdies in the opening round and two in his second round.
Jack Johnson sits two shots behind Adams, in a tie for 21
st at +1, while
Jake Skarperud is in a tie for 26
th at +2. Johnson had one birdie and two bogeys in round one and followed it up with two each in the second round. Skarperud had five total birdies with back-to-back rounds of 72.
Josh Galvin is fourth for the Bison, sitting in a tie for 33
rd at +3, wrapping up the scoring in both rounds with a 73 and a 72. Galvin record three birdies in each round.
Ian Simonich carded rounds of 75 and 76 to sit in 53
rd at +9.
Gavin Cronkhite, playing as an individual, shot an 86 in round one, but came back with a 72 in the second round to sit in a tie for 69
th at +16.
The Bison will wrap up the final round of the Highland Meadows Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The final round is set to tee off at 9 a.m. between holes 4-7.
